Section 14 - Wing Ribs (Left side completed)

Made up some of the "lost" time this week by starting and finishing the Wing Ribs section (left side, only), and then completed about half of the Rear Spar section (next post).  My wife was extra-supportive this week, taking up all the slack around the house.

Bent flanges so they were all 90deg to the web of each of the 14 ribs:

Fluted the upper and lower flanges of all ribs; deburred edges and lightening holes:

#40 dimpled lower flanges of all ribs:

Torque tube support bracket assembly (final drilling rib web):

Another view:

Removed 11 sets of bolts in the spar (to eventually match-drill holes into the front flanges of the 11 inboard-most ribs):

Clecoed flap bracket assemblies:

The 11 sets of bolts, washers, and nuts:

Clecoed all 14 ribs to main spar to match-drill bolt holes, match-drill front flange #30 holes, and match-drill #40 holes in spar flange to upper and lower flanges of ribs:

Another view:

I must have liked this part, since the structure is starting to look like a piece of the left wing:

Primed the flap hinge brackets, and riveted to flap hinge rib and the main ribs:

Torque tube support bracket assembly, riveted:

... and attached to the W-1010-R inboard-most rib

Bolted and torqued (~47in-lbs) bolts to ribs; clecoed rib front flanges to main spar web:

Riveted front flanges of ribs to main spar web:

Another view:

Riveted 7 forward-most #40 holes in main spar flange to inboard ribs #2-#8 (top and bottom) - this portion will be where the fuel tanks attach, using the adjacent nutplates:
